Steve Medlock

Steve Medlock has over forty years of practical construction and industrial safety related experience, as well as a BS in Safety Management from Indiana State University.

He retired from OSHA in July of 2021.  During his tenure, he was one of Region V’s fall protection coordinators.  Serving in that capacity, he has testified as an expert witness, conducted approximately 3000 OSHA inspections, hundreds of which were fatality or accident related, and provided technical assistance to OSHA in developing directives and regulations.

His articles have appeared in trade publications, and he provided technical design assistance to an number of fall protection manufacturers.  While serving in his position with OSHA, he has trained hundreds of Safety Professionals throughout the Nation on fall protection regulations, devices, and systems.

Since his retirement, he joined SCR Safety Solutions as a Construction Compliance Expert and has provided expert consultation services in the safety and health arena throughout Ohio and beyond.
