Tim Gordon

Mr. Gordon’s career has spanned 45 years as an environment, health and safety professional and scientist, moving from managing an environmental testing laboratory, supporting the health and safety office within a major university as an industrial hygienist, working as a Compliance, Safety and Health Officer with OSHA and then towards corporate industrial hygiene and safety roles within the chemical manufacturing sector. Finally, he moved up and into the role of senior environment, health and safety executive for a global automotive parts manufacturer with 30,000 employees, 90 facilities and roughly 150 environment, health and safety professionals.

Since retiring from his final corporate leadership role in 2017, Mr. Gordon has worked as a senior occupational safety, health and industrial hygiene consultant – continuing with SCR Safety Solutions this year –  bringing into focus his decades of experience navigating the regulatory and legal issues surrounding workplace safety and health. His current work includes expert witness support in OSHA compliance and occupational injury and illness cases representing both plaintiffs and defendants. He continues to perform industrial hygiene exposure assessments as well as conduct health and safety management system assessments to assist employers in reducing risks and maintaining compliance.

Throughout his long career, his motivation has been as an advocate for workers and their health and safety. Through this advocacy he has helped many employers maintain a safe work environment for their employees which always protects and enhances their business’ mission.
